Hello, we're Gina & Ben
Gina (she/her, switch) and Ben (he/him, top) began tying together in 2023, and rope has become a beautifully rich way for them to connect and collaborate.
Gina’s tying and bottoming are influenced by her dance and movement background spanning Argentine tango to contact improv, and Ben’s tying is influenced by his experience as a Hakomi-trained somatic coach and Brazilian jiu jitsu practitioner.
While they teach non-dogmatically, they have taken inspiration from the teachings of Nicolas Arnoys and Akira Naka.
Ben and Gina emphasize attunement, communication, and safety, how to tap into desire, and how to incorporate movement and body locking to create dynamic scenes.
They host rope jams and classes in Oakland, California and teach at weekend events in the US. You can find them on IG at @futureflowering and @tieduntied.
Meet Gina
Gina is a passionate rope switch who has been tying and getting tied for over a decade.
She has sought education across the world, with her primary influences being Akira Naka and Nicolas Arnoys. She is ever-curious about the ways rope can be used as a tool to connect with others, and she loves sharing her findings with her students.
When teaching others how to tie, she emphasizes attunement, communication, and safety, how to tap into desire as a top, and how to build a toolbox of ties and harnesses that will enable fun and fulfilling play.
When teaching rope bottoming, she hopes to help rope bottoms understand how to keep themselves safe, how to tune into their own desires, and how to bottom in rope in the ways that are most fulfilling for them.
